Didn’t finish the book? Come anyway.
Everyone in this line of work is stretched thin, and caregiving doesn’t leave much time for homework.
Our conversations will draw just as much on our everyday experiences. And because time is short, we’ve added a few films to the list of choices too.

The long list
Help choose our first selection
Twelve books and six films we’re considering. Rate as many or as few as you like; no sign-up needed. Tap any cover to read more.
Who can join?
Anyone who cares for older adults, at work or at home: family caregivers, geriatric care managers, social workers and case managers, senior living professionals, physicians, nurses, and other clinicians, plus the attorneys and financial planners who help families plan ahead. The simply curious are welcome too.
Do I have to read the whole book?
No. Read what you can, skim the rest, or come having read nothing at all. The conversation is about the work and the people as much as the pages.
When and where will we meet?
That’s what the sign-up is for. We’ll choose a time and a central Houston location based on everyone’s availability, and announce the details in December.
Can I join online?
We hope so. Let us know on the sign-up form whether you’d attend virtually; if there’s enough interest, we’ll offer a video option.
Does it cost anything?
No. The club is free. You’ll just need to borrow, buy, or stream the selection, and many of these are available at the Houston Public Library.
Pull up a chair.
Our first meeting is in mid-January. Sign up now and help decide the time, the place, and the first selection.
